Jack's first year....month by month....2008

A new year and a time for reflection about the one just past. 2008 was sure full of a lot of changes for us, and our favorite part was watching Jack grow. He went from a one week old infant to a very active and happy little boy. We love him more every single day!

January - This was just a couple of days after we arrived in Utah, so Jack was around a week old. I think this is my very favorite picture of him.

February - Blessing Day! Grandma and Grandpa Parker came in from Florida and most of the Christensen's were there as well for a great blessing day. It snowed and snowed and snowed on the day of Jack's blessing.

March - I love this picture of Jack as well. This was the day before Easter. We had gone to the Art Festival in St. George, and I remember that this was the first day we actually put Jack in shorts, and the weather was warming up nicely.

April - We thought Jack was getting chunky then....little did we know how much those legs would grow! We had just cut most of his hair off because of the crazy patchy hair he was getting. Luckily, it grew back nicely.

May - Jack's had lots of firsts in May. This picture was at Disneyworld, so his first trip to Disney, first flight, first trip to Florida, first time seeing some of his cousins, first juice, first cookie, and first time rolling over. Big week for such a little guy!
June - June was heavenly for all of us. We spent more than two weeks with Bryan's parents in the Bahamas. This picture was taken just before sunrise as we were leaving Florida to cross to the Bahamas. Jack loved to sit in the bumbo so he could see really well.

July - See...the hair didn't take too long to grow back. :) We loved the 4th and 24th holidays, and had a great time with the kids here to visit. We spent all of July without our kitchen, but we survived!

August - Wow.....he's looking more like a little boy all the time! Once he got over being naked, Jack has always loved his baths. He plays with that little orange cup every single time and worries if it's not right where it's supposed to be.

September - We spent most of September in the hospital and dealing with picc lines and iv's and more medical stuff than we would care for. Through it all, Jack stayed his cute and happy little self and was such a trooper.

October - We loved fall football games. We spent lots of Friday Nights under the lights of a football field either in town or sometimes at other schools. We loved watching our Tigers win. Jack was taking lots of steps by then and loved being more mobile and free.

November - November brought real freedom with walking and even more mobility. He loved to cuddle with us in the morning, and daddy did crazy things with his jammies sometimes.
December - Here's Jack one day before his birthday. He thought Grandma and Grandpa Parker's yard and driveway were simply amazing. He loved to run from one side to another and especially loved eating leaves and rocks.

We simply adore this little man and are so grateful he filled our year with so much fun!
