18 Months Old

Well, it looks like we have some catching up to do. The past several weeks have been full of activity and fun, and sometimes we remembered to take pictures, and sometimes we didn't. I'm thinking there must be a lot of pictures on Bryan's phone, because not many ended up on my camara. We had Bryan's kids here for a week, and somehow ended up with not one photo. Oops! Jack had a great time with his brothers and sister. Blake, Hallie, and Chase were so cute with him. Bryan had a lot of time off that week, so they all got in some good bonding.

Jackson also turned 18 months old and is FINALLY officially old enough to go to nursery. I think we've all been waiting for this day for about 6 months. Jack LOVES nursery, and hasn't cried once. He walks right in and takes a chair. He's still not too good at coloring - he eats crayons. But he loves snack time, singing, and playing with the toys. We love being able to enjoy our other church meetings without the wiggle worm on our laps.
I think Jack knew it was his big day, and was quite proud of himself.

Jack also started swimming lessons. Let's sum it up by saying that this child is either part fish, or he is a swimming prodigy. He LOVES the water. By the end of the first day, he was way beyond blowing bubbles, and playing silly games. He wanted to SWIM!! He has no fear, which is scary for us. By the end of the two weeks of lessons, Jack was jumping off the diving board, all alone, and into the waiting arms of Daddy, or one of the teachers in the deep end. He'll jump off the side of the pool at any point - with no fear of going under. He's pretty good at finding the edge, swimming back, and can get out on his own.
Jackson and Daddy at swimming lessons on the first day. You can see those little legs just kicking away.
Jack does some pretty funny things to amuse himself and us. He loves to play with his laundry basket. One evening, this is how he walked down the hall. Yes, he bumped into everything, but he thought it was very funny.

Here's another common site with Mr. Jack. He LOVES his blankies.....all of them. The more he has in his bed, the better. I think this was about 4 of them at once.

so cute...maybe he can teach Mackenzie to swim...she's fearless and loves the water but isn't picking up on the swimming thing quite yet!

The kids were so excited to tell us all about Jack's swimming abilities, they were so proud. :) He's growing up so much it's amazing. He looks so handsome going to nursery.
