Christmas 2009

We had such a nice and peaceful Christmas this year. For the first time in our married life, we actually spent Christmas at our own home, in our own beds. Jackson was such a sweet boy. He started to grasp who Santa was, but didn't realize that he actually came to our house and left presents. He didn't ask for a thing, and was just fun see as he found more fun things to enjoy about Christmas - like houses with lights, fun Christmas parties, frozen hot chocolate, and candy canes.

He was a little hit or miss with Santa this year. We saw him a few different times. One time, he would not go near him with a 10 foot pole - literally. The other two times, we got him to sit on Santa's lap.
Someone was spoiled. :) Christmas was focused a lot on what we "needed" this year. New shoes and clothes for work for Daddy, and new work clothes for Mommy. Grandma and Grandpa Parker sent us some surprises - a new camara for me, and a Wii for Bryan. We have definitely had fun with those.

Jackson got a few little toys - some farm animals that he thinks are the very best. He also got a rocking horse from Nama and Grandpa Christensen. He loved the whole unwrapping process. He wasn't too thrilled about any clothes. He would open the box, hold up the clothes, say "CUTE!", and throw them.

After everything inside was opened, we headed outside for the big gift - a new trampoline from Nama and Papa Parker! What a hit! Jack loves to bounce and begs to nearly every day.
We are truly blessed, and have such wonderful family and friends! Christmas 2009 is one for the memories!
